The SS UNS S31600 angles are made with a blend between Chromium and Molybdenum. The two to three percent of molybdenum content in the ASTM A276 SS 316L angles helps them to have more tensile strength. The SS 316 angles are known as Marine Grade Stainless angles because of their particularly high resistivity against Chlorinated solutions and Chlorides. These SS UNS S31600 angles are also resistant against potable water with up to about 1000 mg/L chlorides at ambient temperatures but they are not resistant to warm seawater. The ASTM A276 SS 316L angles offer great welding properties and avoid carbide precipitation during welding process. SS 316 angles that we output can be annealed to resist weld decay. These SS 316 angles offer oxidation resistance up to 870 °C in intermittent use and 925 °C in continuous service.
