ASTM B127 Monel 400 plates are made with a mixture of copper and Nickel with about 67% of Nickel and 23% of copper. The Monel UNS N04400 sheets have a solid foundation and they exhibit excellent characteristics. The Nickel content in the Monel 400 plates helps them in achieving high strength and toughness. They also offer high corrosion and oxidation resistance even at subzero temperatures. The ASTM B127 Monel 400 sheets resist hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids particularly when they are de-aerated. The Monel 400 plates are also resistant towards flowing brackish water or seawater. Hence, the Monel UNS N04400 sheets have a lot of applications in off-shore industries. The Monel UNS N04400 sheets also offer great weldability properties.
