SS 310 coils are austenitic in nature and hence provide high oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Made with 25% of chromium and 20% nickel, these DIN 1.4841 coils have high corrosion resistance. Application in Carburizing atmospheres are very common. The SS 310 Sheets are also strongly resistance against nitric acid, sulphuric acid and by the toxic gasses and steam. A perfect blend of tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, and chromium help the coils to resist heat up to 1150 degree celcius in continuous service. We provide SS 310 coils in both hot-rolled and cold-formed surfaces. SS UNS S31000 coils are often used at cryogenic temperatures, with excellent toughness to -450°F, and low magnetic permeability. SS DIN 1.4845 coils cannot be hardened by treating with heat but can be hardened with Cold Work.
