The SS 316L Channel is L-shaped and is the second most commonly used stainless steel material. The 316L Channels can be used in sea water and environments with high chloride ion concentrations. The 316 Stainless Steel L-channel also contains molybdenum and can be used for food grade applications.

The Stainless steel 316L channels are manufactured from a Nickel and Chromium bearing alloy which has the addition of several different elements that contribute together in forming a highly resistant alloy. The SS UNS S31603 Channels have particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.
