The hard form of the ASTM A240 SS 409L ERW Pipes is maintained due to the addition of titanium content. The SS 409L ERW pipes are relatively insensitive towards stress corrosion cracking. The SS UNS S40903 ERW Pipes are known to have better corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. They can resist up to 800 degrees.
